Tello is a mobile video editing and captioning application for iOS devices, developed and operated by Orca Labs ("Orca Labs", "we", or "us"). Tello enables users to create and stylize captions, edit short-form videos, and export finished videos directly from their devices using on-device processing and Apple system frameworks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tello (the "App") and any related services provided by Orca Labs. By using or accessing Tello, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.
By creating an account (if applicable), purchasing a subscription or lifetime access, or using Tello in any manner, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. This is a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Orca Labs. You acknowledge that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you are using Tello on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms on that organization's behalf. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App immediately.
Tello is available to users of all ages. We do not impose strict age restrictions for downloading or using the App. However, if you are considered a minor in your jurisdiction (for example, under 18 in many countries), we strongly encourage you to use Tello under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this agreement (and if you are a minor, that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf).
You are solely responsible for all content that you import into, edit, or create using Tello, as well as for any consequences of sharing such content. You agree to use Tello in a lawful and respectful manner. In particular, you agree that you will not use the App to:
Infringe Intellectual Property or Other Rights: You will only edit or create content that you have the legal right to use. You must not upload, edit, or share any videos, audio, music, captions, or other content through Tello that you do not own or lack permission to use.
Create or Share Unlawful or Harmful Content: You will not use Tello to create, edit, or distribute content that is illegal, obscene, pornographic, harassing, threatening, defamatory, hateful, or otherwise harmful or objectionable. You must ensure that your use of the App and the content you produce complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Violate Privacy or Personal Rights: You will not use Tello to invade anyone's privacy or to disseminate personal or confidential information without permission.
Misuse the App: You will not attempt to harm, disrupt, or misuse Tello or any network or system connected to it. This includes not introducing malicious code, not interfering with the App's performance or security, and not attempting to bypass security measures. You also agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its underlying technology except to the extent permitted by law.
Third-Party Platform Compliance: If you choose to share content edited with Tello on third-party platforms (such as social media or messaging services), you are responsible for complying with the terms and conditions of those platforms.
Orca Labs reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action (including content removal or account suspension, if applicable) against any user who violates these responsibilities or any other provision of these Terms.
Subscription Options: Tello is offered on a subscription basis with two primary plans: monthly and annual. Each subscription grants access to premium features and content for the duration of the subscription period (one month or one year). Each subscription includes a 3-day free trial; after the trial period ends, your subscription will begin and charges will be applied to your Apple App Store account.
Payment and Renewal: When you purchase a subscription, the applicable fee will be charged to your Apple App Store account (Apple ID) after the free trial period ends. The subscription automatically renews at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Upon renewal, your App Store account will be charged the subscription price for the next period at the then-current rate.
Managing and Canceling Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. If you cancel, the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term. You will continue to have access to premium features until the subscription period expires, but you will not be charged going forward. If you cancel during the free trial period, you will not be charged. After the trial period ends, charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Lifetime Purchase (One-Time): Tello also offers a one-time, non-consumable lifetime purchase that unlocks premium features without a recurring subscription. This purchase is charged once to your Apple App Store account and does not auto-renew. Lifetime access remains available for as long as the App and its premium features are offered. The lifetime purchase is linked to your Apple ID and can be restored through the App Store on eligible devices.
Free Trial & Refunds Policy: The 3-day free trial applies to monthly and annual subscriptions only. After the trial ends, all subscription charges and lifetime purchase charges are final and non-refundable, except as required by law or allowed under App Store policies. If we issue a courtesy refund at our discretion, it will be an exception and does not create any ongoing entitlement to refunds.
